A thousand loves for the Forlorn Hope “Mil Amores” in DC

January 24, 2010

Our dear friend Raelinn Schmitt of Williams Corner Wine Co. was kind enough to pour the 2006 Mil Amores prior to the Wine Entrepreneur’s Conference in Washington, D.C. on the 20th of January. Here’s what tasters put up on Twitter at the event:

@uuallan: The wines from Williams Corner rock! Especially the @forlornhopewine Mil Amores

@staceyviera: Enjoyed @forlornhopewine & so many others thanks to @raelinn_wine!

@SummerOfJay: Mil Amores Portuguese blend – DELICIOUS!!!

@petersthoughts: Forlorn Hope [Mil Amores] is a wonderful blend from Cali. Must try

@weeklywinepick: Best of tasting *****

@VinotecaDC: Just tried the @forlornhopewine 2006 CA blend of Portuguese varieties; well balanced.

@priscillamunoz: Mil Amores is an excellent red… well done!

@noblelawyer: @forlornhopewine amazing but I’m not sharing!

Thanks for all the kind words — we’re so glad the Mil Amores was roundly enjoyed and are looking forward to bringing it and a few other Rare Creatures out to the Virginia and D.C. area soon. And thanks again to Raelinn, who rocks the most.

    I did a quick write up of my Sip & Twit experience. Of course, Mil Amores is discussed with high regard: http://bit.ly/4UTjaA

    Where might I find it in the Richmond Virginia area?

      Jay — thanks for the write-up! I’m glad you enjoyed the Mil Amores. Also liked your label gallery; it was interesting to see which other wines were being poured alongside the Forlorn Hope.
      At the moment, the Mil Amores isn’t available in any shops or restaurants in the Richmond, VA area (we’re working on it!) but in the meantime it and all the other Rare Creatures may be ordered directly from the winery via our website: http://www.forlornhopewines.com/order.htm

      Hope to raise a glass with you sometime soon!
